Mr. Moniz is proud to join the MIA Artists Management roster. MIA Artists Management is committed to bringing forth a group of accomplished artists to fulfill today’s modern operatic vision with the classic and traditional roots of yesteryear’s golden age of opera.

Mr. Moniz returns to Sarasota Opera for their fall productions of Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci and Dean Burry’s The Hobbit in the role of Old Bilbo, after an incredibly successful debut during the company’s 2014 Winter Festival.

Funded by the Chinese government, Liederfest in Suzhou invites eight vocal fellows and five pianists to Suzhou, China to present a week of concerts and outreach events. While in residence, fellows have the opportunity to focus on the study and presentation of ancient Chinese song. During his residency, Mr. Moniz will also cover the tenor soloist in Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde.

Mr. Moniz is pleased to return to Sachem Central Schools where he will be presenting a masterclass and recital on May 8 & 9, respectively. His residency will be sponsored by the Eastern-Suffolk BOCES Exploratory Enrichment Arts-in-Education Series.

Mr. Moniz makes his debut as Gastone in Verdi’s La traviata with the Opera Company of Middlebury in beautiful Middlebury, VT during October 2014. In addition, he will cover the role of Alfredo.

After a successful debut (with less than ten minutes notice) as Cassio in the final performance Verdi’s Otello, Mr. Moniz returns for a second season with the Utah Festival Opera as Detlef in The Student Prince, Claquesous / Marius (cover) in Les Misérables and Anatol (cover) in Barber’s Vanessa.

With less than ten mintues notice, Mr. Moniz stepped into the role of Cassio during the Utah Festival Opera’s closing performance of Verdi’s Otello, after the principal artist scheduled to sing the performance fell ill, unexpectedly. This performance marks Mr. Moniz’s role and company debut.
