Following three years of service as Vice President and Chair of Student Auditions, Justin steps into the role of President of the NATS-NYC Chapter, effective May 2024. NATS-NYC is New York City’s chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). The organization promotes excellence in vocal performance and teaching in all styles of music by offering opportunities to further knowledge and skills in the areas of voice education, voice science, musician wellness and practical applications of scientific research to musical performance.

Justin serves as finals judge for ICCA & ICSHA

This April, Justin returned to The Town Hall in NYC as an esteemed finals judge for both the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella and the International Championship of High School A Cappella. Justin invited to present voice research in Barcelona

This September, Justin was invited to present his recent research at The Barcelona Conference on Education. His paper, “Rate of Perceived Vocal Exertion and Vocal Loading Tendencies in Group Fitness Professionals,” aimed to determine the rate of perceived vocal exertion experienced by group fitness instructors stratified by age and sex. The findings will lay the groundwork for future research examining the long-term effects of vocal loading in the group fitness setting. The significance of this study will determine the impact increased vocal loading has on GFIs, particularly as it relates to overall levels of vocal health and an individual's rate of perceived vocal exertion.
