Journal of Singing publishes Justin’s article on bridging pedagogic research and practice

Justin’s article, “Bridging Research and Practice in Voice Pedagogy: A Call for Sustained Scholarly Literacy Among Voice Teachers,” appears in the January/February issue of the Journal of Singing. In this article, Justin emphasizes the importance of connecting research with studio practice, tracing a lineage from Manuel García’s early scientific inquiry to contemporary voice pedagogy. Drawing on recent scholarship in motor learning, acoustics, and evidence-based frameworks, the article offers practical strategies for integrating research into voice teaching and argues that sustained scholarly engagement strengthens pedagogy and supports versatile singers across genres.
