The University of Miami Alumni Association recently honored 30 outstanding alumni for their impact on society. Moniz joins the company of a highly selective list of honorees including social entrepreneurs, lawyers, engineers, educators, and philanthropists.

Moniz is the winner of The American Prize in Vocal Performance, 2017-18-The Friedrich & Virginia Schorr Memorial Award, in the men’s professional art song and oratorio division. The American Prize is a series of new, non-profit, competitions unique in scope and structure, designed to recognize and reward the best performing artists, ensembles and composers in the United States based on submitted recordings.
