
Moniz named to Yamaha “40 Under 40” List
Last year, Yamaha launched the “40 Under 40” music education advocacy program to celebrate and recognize outstanding music educators who are making a difference by growing and strengthening their music programs. Now, Yamaha celebrates the 2022 group of remarkable educators who triumphed before and during the pandemic to keep their programs thriving. Moniz was recognized for his work as Associate Director of Vocal Performance and Coordinator of Vocal Pedagogy at NYU Steinhardt.
Moniz invited to present at The Royal Conservatory, BoCo, and U of I Urbana-Champaign
During the spring semester, Moniz has been invited to present masterclasses, lectures, and workshops to the vocal performance and pedagogy programs at The Royal Conservatory of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Moniz joins the cast of Seidman & Crawford’s ‘Fifth Avenue’ in debut recording
Moniz recently joined the company of Seidman & Crawford’s musical Fifth Avenue in the role of Donald. The project was supervised by the team at Dubway Studios and is slated for release in late-2021.

Big Island Music Magazine recently praised Moniz for his performance in Hawaii Performing Arts Festival’s presentation of Along the Way, celebrating the release of his debut album of the same name.

Moniz releases debut solo album
Justin recently released his solo debut album, Along the Way. The project was facilitated by the team at NYC’s renowned Dubway Studios and features selections by Jason Robert Brown, Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Alan Menken, and many others. The full album is now available on all digital streaming platforms including Apple Music, Spotify, iTunes, iHeart Radio, and many others.
Moniz to release second music video single, ‘Go the Distance’
On Friday, 2/12 at 8pm, Justin will premiere the second music video single from his new album, Along the Way. The video marks the second single release. The album will be released on March 15 and available for preorder on March 1.

On Friday, 1/29 at 7pm, Justin will premiere the first music video single from his new album, Along the Way. The video will preview the album’s upcoming release and give audiences a feel for what to expect. The full length album will be released this March.

Moniz joins William Jewell’s Artist Diploma program as Supporting Faculty Artist-in-Residence
Moniz will serve as Supporting Faculty Artist-in-Residence for the Artist Diploma program at William Jewell College in March 2021. He joins a roster of guest faculty for the 2020/21 academic year including: Greg Carpenter, Garrett Bruce, Eric Einhorn, Brad Trexell, Carol Anderson, Laurie Rogers, Gabriel Preisser, and Ana De Archuleta. The program is supervised by Grammy Award-winning baritone, Daniel Belcher.

Moniz presents online masterclass for CS Music community
Moniz recently presented an online vocal masterclass for CS Music. Classical Singer magazine began in 1988 as The New York Opera Newsletter. Interest in the newsletter grew rapidly and the demand for more information triggered the transformation into Classical Singer magazine. CS Music now offers renowned programs and competitions for singers of all levels nationwide.
Moniz selected as BOSS 2020 Featured Educator
Moniz was recently selected as the BOSS 2020 Featured Educator! During the upcoming festival, he will present three workshops including the festival’s capstone class. “Pop/Rock and Drop It” will explore efficient and sustainable chest-dominant (belt) production in contemporary popular styles.
Moniz books leading role in cast recording of new musical ‘Pablo’
Charles Bloom’s new musical, Pablo, will produce a fully orchestrated cast album this December at New York City’s Dubway Studios. Justin takes on the role of Luc Du Lac, the commercially successful and morally bankrupt chief artistic rival in Paris and the musical’s antagonist.
Successful debut filled with “passionate conviction”
Justin recently made his role debut as Bobby in Company with Hawaii Performing Arts Festival.

Moniz joins the NYU faculty
This fall, Justin begins an appointment as Associate Director of Vocal Pedagogy and Music Assistant Professor of Vocal Performance at New York University’s (NYU) Steinhardt School, where he will teach courses in pedagogical theory and practice, applied voice, and supervise the graduate vocal pedagogy program. Prior to joining the NYU faculty, he served as Chair of Vocal Studies at Millikin University and Visiting Instructor at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
